Last week, we started the topic of the space exploration game for hardcore gamers and introduced Spore. This week, we will continue this topic to find more innovative games in the market. Civilization, Risk, and StarCraft are considered to be some of the most competitive space exploration games to play with friends, as well as, some of the most notorious games that lose friends. All of these games involve the opportunity to viciously take land, or property, from the other players, while mastering how to strategize and learn the geography of Earth.
AstroReality continues to craft, for our customers, new experiences and products. One of the ideas we have been toying with is to incorporate, a game into each of the Augmented Reality planetary globe models. In creating a game, we would like to find a way to engage all players, to have them work together to succeed collectively. It may be fun to create a game which resolves a specific environmental issue, like climate change. Or, to use a classic game on our beautiful 3D printed models.
Why and how would this work? Well, AstroReality’s 3D Printed Models were designed to interact directly with our interactive Augmented Reality apps, creating an encounter that is not just digitally immersive but tactile. These standard features make it an excellent platform for a new kind of space exploration gaming experience – an “Augmented Gaming Experience.”
A great first start to AstroReality’s gaming endeavors would be to port over a new version of RISK to the AstroReality EARTH model.
RISK – a space exploration game about world domination
Imagine the day when AstroReality EARTH is integrated with space exploration games.
What is RISK? RISK is a game currently owned by Hasbro, that was created in 1957 but still enjoyed today. It is about world domination. Traditionally it is played on a board with the world map divided into countries and continents. The number of countries each player has determined their number of armies. Once a continent is owned, an additional bonus is granted. To play the game, each player attacks and defends their property, while in pursuit of total domination.
Space exploration games like RISK would work great and provide endless amounts of fun on the Earth model. Players would have to touch and interact with the model of Earth to play the game together. It helps them learn more about the EARTH, and have an understanding of strategizing. The game of RISK could be expanded to fly across the solar system, gathering resources for super galactic battles.
What are your thoughts? Is RISK a fun game to play on Astroreality 3D printed globes? Can you think of another game that could be performed on the AstroReality Models?
AstroReality is very open to hearing about other space exploration game ideas and other opinions that our fans would like to have and experience. We think the game for space exploration is a great way to educate and have a fun time, but we are also in talks with many other companies on developing different uses that utilize our Augmented Reality platform for interacting with objects or having objects interact with them.
Check in next week as we talk about modern classic and innovations with games, like StarCraft, Planetary Annihilation, and the iconic Civilization.
